Hawk found an interesting statistic for the show this morning.  76% (or about 3 out of 4 for those of you who - well, you know…) of Americans say they do not want to know their IQ.  It didn’t say whether they didn’t want to know because they were afraid they might be stupid, or if they just didn’t care – but I think it is probably a combination of the two.

The remaining 24% (or about 1 out of 4 for those of you who – well, you know…) wanted to know, or had taken an IQ test to find out.  I figure some of them are pretty smart and thought, “I’m pretty smart and I’d like to know how I rank.”  The others probably are REALLY dumb and thought, “I’m pretty smart and I’d like to know how I rank.”  That’s because dumb people don’t usually know they are dumb.  Which is the most annoying thing, because I can tolerate a dumb person who knows they are dumb and is apologetic about it or at least laughs it off, but a dumb person who thinks they are actually smart – that’s an annoying person!

There is one lady out there today who has to know she is dumb though.  I found this story on an Orlando Florida newspaper website and it included a 911 emergency call that you can listen to on your computer.  It is an ACTUAL 911 call from a lady who thought she was locked in her car… Yep, that’s right – she was locked in her car!  Did you know they let these people vote?

Just CLICK HERE to hear the 911 Call!
