Dear Friends,
We need to suport an honest candidate in the runoff for Governor of SC.
Here is an example of the Honest Differences between Gresham Barrett and Nikki Haley-on who is hiding the truth..and who is realy laying it out there for us to see!
On Transparency;

Gresham Barrett
Voluntarily released 2009 personal income taxes. (Barrett for Governor, Press Release, 6/10/10)
Voluntarily released all campaign donors, including runoff donors. (Barrett for Governor, Press Release, 6/10/10)
Voluntarily posted his congressional financial disclosure to his website. (Barrett for Governor Website, www.greshambarrett.com, Accessed 6/15/10)
Nikki Haley

Refused to release income taxes.
Refused to release runoff campaign donors.
“Flunked campaign finance disclosure 101” and has repeatedly failed to disclose her campaign finance reports by ethics deadlines. (S.C. Ethics Commission Website, apps.sc.gov, Accessed 6/6/10; The State, 3/14/05)
Invoked “legislative exemption” to stop the release of her legislative correspondence records. (The Associated Press, 6/4/10)

Please vote for Gresham Barrett for Governor on June 22nd.. The one true Leader who we can trust to lead our State!xo

hi Friends,
My friend, Natalie, is married to Rep. Gresham Barrett. I have seen first hand the sacrifices the entire family has made over the past few years to be faithful public servants.
I sometimes wonder why anyone would do it! The long distance travel, long hours and time away from home are true tests of spirit.
Gresham Barrett is dedicated to public service. He is a family man, former Army Captain, and small business owner. As a US Representative, he spent lots of time in Washington,DC and knows the games that they play.
Those attributes make him qualified to hold office and lead our government. His integrity, honesty and strength of character make him worthy to hold office.
This candidate for Governor has a Plan for our economy! For education, for job growth!
His opponent in the runoff on Tuesday has not outlined a plan, has not indicated she has any idea of what steps need to be taken to lift SC out of its sad state of high unemployment and outrageous spending.
I am going to go with the man who will give SC its best opportunity and that is Gresham Barrett.
Talk to your friends, spread the word. Vote Gresham Barrett for Governor!
thank you!
Your Friend,heidi

GOP Ballot Initiatives
QUESTION #1:
The healthcare reform bill recently signed into law by President Obama requires all American citizens to purchase health insurance or else to pay a fine to the federal government. The legislation also contains tax benefits and other inducements that apply only to certain states, benefits that were apparently designed to persuade those states’ Senators or Representatives to vote for President Obama’s healthcare reform Bill.
Therefore be it resolved: The South Carolina General Assembly should defend the freedom of all South Carolinians to make their own healthcare decicions by enacting legislation making it illegal to force the citizens of South Carolina to purchase health insurance or participate in a healthcare plan against their will, or to comply with any of the provisions or mandates of nationalized healthcare that do not apply equally to all states. Do you agree with the resolution above?
Yes
No

QUESTION #2:
Growth of state spending should not exceed the growth of the economy. Therefore, be it resolved: The South Carolina General Assembly should enact legislation to limit state spending growth in South Carolina to a growth rate not to exceed the lesser of the annual percentage growth in income of the State’s citizens, or the growth in population plus inflation. Do you agree with the resolution above?
Yes
No

Did you ever get to go to Summer Camp? I got to go one time, and loved it! It was a week-long YWCA sponsored facility. It was so cool to be away from home, meting new friends, and learning things that you wouldn’t otherwise have access to …I hope you will consider even day-camp for your kids..so that your children can be exposed to different activities. There are lots of different kinds of camps. Some focus on art, nature, horseback riding..even cooking, and of course, sports related activities.
There are some that are low cost and likely offered thru your local Y or church.
Now, wouldnt it be great if there were summer camps for adults!!
Happy and safe summer!

Hi Friends,
So much to do this weekend – the Greek Festival in Greenville, The Hoot ‘n Holler at old Armstrong Elementary on Saturday 3-8pm. Music, food, lots of kids games..and then, on Saturday at 5pm, the Armed Forces Day Parade! Sit along Main st. Greenville and watch floats and bands, then, following the Parade at Fluor Field there will be a more bands and a jet fly-over,very cool! That starts at 6:30pm.
We owe so much to our Troops as they and their families have made so many sacrifices…let’s honor them in this little way. By attending the event and standing when the Flag passes and waving when the Veterans pass by and proudly showing your love for our Country.
IU will see you there!
