There is alot going on ..so, I’ll share some of what I am doing…

My good friend, Natalie Barrett, has been busy helping her husband run for Governor of SC! So, I’m helping out, too! If you can help me support my friend and Gresham, that would be great! I am scouting out locations, at busy intersections, to post 4×6 ft. campaign signs. Can you suggest places that will give me permission to place the signs?
Thanks for your help. He will make a great Governor…get more info at greshambarrettt.com

HI -
Since June of 09, I, and the Beach Ball Foundation, have been working with Student Council at Mauldin High to help coordinate events and marketing for their annual fundraising event.
It’s heeerrreeee!
It is time for Mauldin Spirit Week! It’s a time when the students unite for a cause, and this year, the money raised will go to Pendleton Place Home for abused, neglected and abandoned children. Also, the Childrens Hospital of GHS and other area charities will benefit from the students amazing efforts and teamwork .
Please help us out.

Text the word SPIRIT to 85944 to give $10 to Pendleton Place Childrens Home, and other area charities, during Mauldin High Spirit Week! Be sure to respond to the confirmation text you will receive!

If your group or organization would like to benefit from a “Text to give” campaign, just let me know…your non-profit could receive funds, too, from the Beach Ball Foundation!
Thank you for caring about your community!

Hi !
Even if you dont know about art – actually, if you dont know about art, here is a great introduction to what to look for , and what art is about.
My “friend” Anthony Conway will be giving a casual talk and tour of The Ben Long Exhibition at Greenville County Museum of Art. The Artists Talk is Thursday@6:30
February 4, 2010.
Anthony will talk about the paintings and drawings of noted realist Ben Long. The exhibition of Long’s work includes portraits of fellow artists and friends. I will say there are a few nudes,so, maybe 16 and up should attend..But,thats your call, mom…

Hi,
I read alot of things for the news, and just because I like to read,
but, I came across this article and loved it.!
How does an Ipod help an ailment? Or a tennis ball?
I liked that these remedies were natrual and clever and used everyday items..
Hope you enjoy it!

It was a great weekend. My daughter,Lauren’s, oldest was 3 yesterday!! Krew got to see Elmo and Friends at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. He had a blast! So did his sister Kaiden. Watching them, all wide-eyed, and smiling, little faces glowing with an innocence and joy, just about broke my heart. With love.
It’s those simple things that can bring so much pleasure to our lives. If…we take the time to notice, and appreciate them.
My “little girl” has a little girl of her own now. Where did the time go? Why didnt I take the time to truely appreciate those simple pleasures?
Stress, worries and wrong priorities all got in the way.
I hope you will just take a moment and appreciate those simple pleasures…of a child’s joy, a friend’s company or a loved-ones smile.
Take the timne to do it while you stillcan.
Happy Holidays. Merry Christmas..
with luv,
heidi
ps. special thanks to friends Johnathon Pitts, josh and staff at Spg.Mem.Auditorium. for helping me to enjoy those simple pleasures.

Wow – It was only in my wildest dreams that I could imagine ever GIVING AWAY – a QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS!! Thats just what we did today!

As a Co-founder of the Beach Ball Foundation, I knew we were creating a fun way to raise money for childrens charities, but, I didnt realize just how impactful this volunteer-driven organization would be!
25 area non-profit organizations were presented with the funds raised thru the Beach Ball and BBF events held throughout the year.
We started by holding the Beach Ball in the backyard of a friends house. We outgrew that space and moved the party to a bigger backyard – a really BIG backyard…The Beach Ball entertains nearly 2000 people on the last Saturday in August.
I wll have details for you here or go to www.beachballfoundation.org
Much of that site is under construction but you can still get an idea of what we are about.
The Foundation has grown into an annual campaign of giving and,so,today we gave away $252,381.72 to 25 charities!
Over 20 great restaurants, hundreds of volunteers, generous sponsors (like Benefits in a Card and North American Rescue, Lauren’s Electric Co-Op, Mauldin High among others) and lots of businesses support our cause. Like Entercom Communications and B93.7FM!
It’s so great to know that, together,we are, “Changing the Lives of Children Through Education and the Arts”. Thanks to everyone who gives so generously and cares about kids and our community.

hi!
I am officially a Coupon Freak! I am hooked on clipping and saving!
My daughter, lauren has shown me some unreal register receipts! She’ll pay $35 for $150 worth of groceries!! My girlfriend, Barbara, does the same thing. She loves the CVS bucks.
Looking for printable coupons, I came across a great site called Hot Coupon World.
Some of the blog below is from Julie & Heidi & Lesley at HCW.
You can see for yourself how finding the right site can really keep you informed and help you save money!!!
What’s going to be on sale this week?
General Mills “cereal, boxed side dishes, Gold Medal and other Betty Crocker baking items”….look for coupons online.
There are going to be offers on “Conagra – Hunts, Healthy Choice, Snack Pack” as well as “Post Cereals”.
Their site also mentions sales on meat like new york steaks and ribeyes and pork. Look for pork coupons.

And HCW says that a popular soft drink brand is going on sale…I dont usually buy soda, unless its really cheap. If it hits $.79 a liter, then I buy some. The site says it could go for under $.70 a liter!

I hope some of this info helps. There are lots of sites out there that offer printable coupons, rebate info and special deals.
Happy Shopping and Saving!!
