Fatherhood

Free time is a hard thing to come by. With a 3 year old and a 5 week old, I don’t get a lot of time to do anything for me. For the record, I’m not a needy person. I always try to be more sturdy than the next guy, but sometimes you just need a moment. Some time to breathe. I work all day and then come home and part 2 of the action packed day starts. Erin, my daughter, needs my time, my wife needs a moment and my son usually starts crying at some point. It’s like a basket of crazy is handed to me when I walk in the door. This, after dealing with being the manager of the B staff (Tom sometimes cries more than my kids). It’s about balance. My one “getaway” moment each day is when I get to work out. Doesn’t sound that fun to most, but the opportunity to zone out for 30 or more minutes a day is such a release. If I’m gonna use this time as my getaway time, it needs to be fun. Right? I’ve been working in 9 round into my workout routine. If you’re interested, it’s www.9round.com. I go to the one closest to the house-Simpsonville. If you are looking for something different that is more fun and effective than running a treadmill, check it out. The first workout is free.
