Well, it is that time of year and time to give thanks.  I’m not really the sentimental type so I probably don’t stop to give thanks often enough.  I figure this is a good time to take stock of my life.

First, I am so blessed to have a wonderful wife and two amazing kids.  Parenthood has turned out to be an eye-opening experience and is by far the most rewarding thing that I’ve ever done.  My whole family (even my in-laws who I embarrass regularly on the show) is wonderful and we are all very blessed by God.

Second – what a job!  In high school I had a teacher named Mr. Riley who told me that I had better shape up because there were no jobs out there where you could just sit around and make wisecracks all day long and earn a living.  Well Mr. Riley, you were wrong!  I make a living chatting with my friends and making smart-alec remarks each morning on the radio.  Hawk and I are in the final stages of signing a new three-year contract right now and hope to be here for a long time to come.

That brings me to my third item on the list – the Upstate of South Carolina!  What a great place to live.  Every so often we get these “studies” or “reports” that say South Carolina is the armpit of the United States and that we are a bunch of ignorant rednecks.  I say HOG-WARSH!  This is a great place to live.  Cost of living is low, the people are great and who needs to spell perfectly anyway?  I can’t think of a better place to raise a family.

I could go on with this list, but it would get very long.  Let me just say that Hawk and I both want to thank each and every one of you who listen to us each morning.  We have been so blessed to be able to work in a wonderful part of the Country (regardless of what those highfalutin studies and reports say) and to have so many of you let us into your homes each morning.  We appreciate the privilege  of being your choice for entertainment, news and buffoonery as you start your days.

Thank you!
