And you can too!

The city of Greenville Greenville has just launched “311″ in the iPhone app store.   Greenville 311 is a free, simple way for citizens to report problems and speed up services in the city. The app is available free from iTunes and users can send service requests to the city, complete with pictures and the location of the problem. The information is sent directly to Greenville Cares which is the city call center for service on city property. If you give your e-mail address you will even get an identification number so that you can track your service request.

According to Angie Prosser, public information of the city and the Director of Events, Greenville joins a growing list of cities using advanced technology as an extension of their customer service efforts to provide options for citizens to stay connected to city government.

“The city began using Facebook and Twitter this summer as another way to reach our citizens, so for us, Greenville 311 is an exciting new opportunity to expand our citizen outreach efforts,” said Prosser. “Our goal is not only involve people in identifying problems and issues in the community, but to also provide them with tools they can use to help preserve and improve the quality of life in Greenville.”

Hawk and I got into a debate over whether my son (who is 2 years and 2 months old) can use an iPhone or not.  I recently upgraded to a 3GS and we have an extra 3G now.  (I know, we are spoiled by AT&T – they are big fans of the Hawk and Tom Show and we encourage you to support AT&T!)

So I decided to put together a little video of my son using the iPhone to LEARN.  If Hawk had one of these, he might be a lot smarter!!!

Anyway, if you ever had any doubt that a 2 year-old kid might benefit from using an iPhone, check this video out!

My name is Tom Steele and I’m an iPhone addict. “Hi Tom!” If you are an iPhone addict too, then you are always looking for the latest, greatest thing for your phone. If you don’t already have the FLYCAST app that lets you listen to B93.7 anywhere you go, then that is a must. You can download it here: CLICK HERE FOR THE B93.7 FLYCAST APP!

Now once you have that, you can download your favorite B93.7 Hawk & Tom wallpaper for your phone here. Just right click on your favorite wallpaper below and click “Save Picture As…” Then save the wallpaper to your iPhone’s picture directory. Usually this is My Documents/My Pictures. Then Sync your iPhone to your itunes account on your computer.

Next, go into SETTINGS on your iPhone and select Wallpaper. Choose Photo Library. Select the new wallpaper and press SET!

There! You’re all done and you have the coolest wallpaper possible for your iPhone. (In our humble opinion!)
